Most Valued User Kaleidoscope Posted October 26, 2017 Most Valued User #1 Share Posted October 26, 2017 Hi everyone, when using SwyxIt! a lot of users click the "X" to get rid of the window. I know that is the wrong button but is there a way to minimize SwyxIt! instead when a user closes the window? (Quitting the application from system tray with a right-click would be enough...) Is there a way to do that? Any help is much appreciated! Regards!
Most Valued User Kaleidoscope Posted November 15, 2017 Author Most Valued User #2 Share Posted November 15, 2017 As there are no answers I guess this is something that currently cannot be done in the software. I still think an option to "minimize to tray instead of close" would be easy to implement and would help out a lot. Maybe someone reads this here and adds it as a feature request? Until then I found a solution using an old tool that can disable the close button of any windows program. This is not very elegant but it works for me so maybe someone else finds this useful. The original tool is from 2004 and can be found here: https://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Skrommel/#NoClose As it is old it has problems with 64bit OS but someone in the forums there fixed the problem in the source code and posted it for download: https://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?topic=1845.0 (2nd to last post in that thread).
