The new version 12.10 of the Swyx communication solution is now available and offers an improved messenger among other things. Additionally, the UC provider introduces a new licensing model making it even easier for resellers to successfully sell Swyx products.

With version 12.10 Swyx is launching a new and improved Messenger in a modern design. In addition to sending and receiving messages in one-to-one or group chats, it offers users numerous other features for fast, uncomplicated exchange with their colleagues. Thanks to the seamless integration into the Swyx Unified Communications solution, the chat can be started quickly, and user profiles and status information are transferred directly. The instant messaging functions are available in all clients and can be used on mobile devices without any restrictions. Notifications are synchronised across all clients. Sent and received messages are retained even after Swyx is closed and can be read when the Messenger is started again.

In addition, Swyx has further improved the support of certified Yealink end devices in its product portfolio, so that these can now also be configured for so-called hot desking: Multiple users who share a workstation can thus use a single phone by logging in with their personal access data when they start work. Furthermore, the call list of the Yealink phones is now automatically synchronised with the Swyx call journal and users can choose which number is sent, for example to transmit a central number instead of their own extension for outgoing calls.

The Swyx Connector for Notes option, which links the HCL (previously IBM/Lotus) Notes platform with the Swyx solution, now also supports versions as of Notes 10 and Domino Server 11.

VisualGroups offers even more features

Swyx has also made further improvements to its VisualGroups queue management tool. The latest version 1.5 offers even more features to increase efficiency and service quality in the management of high call volumes. These include a callback function to improve customer satisfaction, the ability to categorise calls by manually assigning keywords and the optional deactivation of call distribution. The VisualGroups wallboard function has been enhanced with an overview that shows the current status of all agents for up to four queues at a glance.

Simplified licensing model

Swyx has further improved and simplified its licensing model. From now on, the Basic, Professional and Premium function profiles introduced as part of the Swyx Flex rental model are now also available when purchasing Swyx licenses. The uniform model makes it easier for resellers to prepare offers and enables them to offer their customers packages that are optimally tailored to their specific requirements.

"With the latest enhancements to our solution and the innovations around the distribution of Swyx products, we have further improved our offering for partners. The unified licensing model for purchase and lease means that our partners can easily address the most specific customer requirements, creating the ideal conditions to attract even more customers –especially in the current situation, when a high degree of financial flexibility is important for many companies," said Marco Crueger, Vice President Sales at Swyx.

Swyx partners can find more information in the Swyx Partner Net.
