Dortmund, 12.08.2021 - Swyx has further improved the integration options of its own communications solution with Microsoft Teams: with the new Connector for Microsoft Teams, users who use both solutions can now use the proven telephony functions of Swyx directly from the Microsoft Teams user interface. This means that users can access the most important functions such as the central phone book, call lists and contact favorites particularly quickly, as well as control end devices directly in the Teams client. In addition, a compact Swyx Client is available in the background for the configuration and operation of further convenience functions such as individual forwarding rules using Extended Call Routing (ECR). This increases user-friendliness and now enables users to combine the best of both product worlds even more conveniently.

Optimal interoperability between Microsoft Teams and Swyx is also ensured by the available presence synchronization between the two solutions. For example, if a user is in a Teams meeting, the Swyx Client takes over the status "Busy" or "Do Not Disturb" so that incoming calls can be automatically forwarded.

Benefit from comprehensive telephony features with Swyx

"With the Swyx Connector for Microsoft Teams, we provide our partners with convincing arguments for successfully offering our solution - not only to customer groups looking for a complete solution in the area of unified communications and collaboration, but also to companies that rely on Microsoft Teams as an internal collaboration tool for messaging and file exchange, but want to make their external communications efficient and service-oriented at the same time with the Swyx telephony functions," says Marco Crueger, VP Sales at Swyx. The telephony benefits offered by Swyx include integration capabilities with CRM or ERP databases, efficient queue management and flexible support for the full range of endpoints. In addition, customers who rely on Swyx and Microsoft Teams are free to choose call numbers and their preferred SIP trunk provider. No additional hardware is required. "Our solutions can be tailored exactly to a company's needs: They are available from Swyx's own cloud or from partner clouds, and for on-premise installations, in addition to the purchase model, we also offer the option of renting functions on a monthly basis as part of Swyx Flex and running them on a dedicated server. Resellers can thus offer their customers maximum flexibility, also in financial terms," explains Marco Crueger.

In addition to the seamless integration that Swyx offers with version 13, customers can continue to connect the two solutions using a Microsoft-certified Session Border Controller to combine the benefits of Swyx and Microsoft Teams. This option is of particular interest to larger organizations that already have a Microsoft Enterprise license.

In addition, the latest version 13 of the Swyx communications solution offers further improvements and new functions, including for users of the DECT800 solution. For these, there are now new options in the areas of call journal synchronization, search in the global phone book and one-touch provisioning.

Swyx Partners can find more details about version 13 in Swyx Partner Net. The UC provider provides comprehensive information about the combination options of Swyx and Microsoft Teams on its website.
