Most Valued User WilcoSteenbergen Posted April 27, 2015 Most Valued User #1 Share Posted April 27, 2015 Hi, One of our customers wants to add some text like a small memo field in their Skin. To make her own notes for users. For example: "on holiday till ..." or "works only on monday wednesday and Friday". Ofcourse they could use the status text but that would require that every user fills this status text by themselves. In this case the centralist wants to make her own notes. I already made something with shortcuts, so the description of the shortcut can be filled with this info. But that was to small (28 characters). Has someone a better suggestion? Tom Wellige Posted April 27, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2015 Hi Wilco, long time no Bamsemums anymore ;-) The only chance I see for this is to use WebExtensions. They are the only chance you have to extend Client!/Skin functionality. So have a small web app displaying your memo field(s) and place it/them as WebExtension into the skin. Tom. Most Valued User WilcoSteenbergen Posted April 27, 2015 Author Most Valued User #3 Share Posted April 27, 2015 Hmm nice suggestion. But wouldn't that require a lot of web extenstions if you want to see the information at a glance? Currently I managed to get 120 shortcuts with system user information and the shortcut in the second row is used to fill the info from the display field: http://1drv.ms/1GzMqea Is there no other possibility? Tom Wellige Posted April 27, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2015 Yes, of course. That would mean one extension per speed dial. As you have now one shortcut per speed dial. But that should be easily manageable with proper url parameters. Actually I don't see any other possibility...
