EN (Press): WebRTC-based Swyx Meeting now with up to 25 video participants in grid view

Recommended Posts

Unified Communications specialist Swyx has further improved its collaboration solution Swyx Meeting: the cloud service now offers new functions and thus even more possibilities to improve collaboration in companies.

The new grid view shows up to 25 videos simultaneously on the screen during a meeting. This allows all participants to see each other throughout the entire meeting. Depending on the number of participants, the format of the videos is optimally displayed. Users can also flexibly decide by "drag and drop" which video they want to see where. If a participant who is not transmitting video speaks, the name and an icon are displayed on the screen instead.

In addition, the "active speaker" view will be available soon, showing the video of the currently speaking participant in full screen mode. This view is particularly suitable for one-to-one conversations and meetings with few participants, while the grid view is ideal for meetings with many participants. Other Swyx Meeting enhancements include the ability for users to see even more clearly and quickly whether they or other participants are muted and to unmute them if necessary.

Video Meetings, Chat and Screen Sharing

Swyx Meeting offers everything users need to successfully exchange information with people in other locations: they can easily organise web conferences with up to 25 internal and external participants, communicate via video, send messages in private or group chat, share their screen and exchange files. The WebRTC-based collaboration solution enables online meetings directly from the browser of a computer, mobile phone or tablet, without participants having to install any software or app. It is also possible to dial-in by telephone if a participant does not have internet access. Swyx Meeting is undergoing continuous development to enable Swyx partners to offer their customers even greater flexibility and functionality.
