Unified Communications (UC) vendor Swyx has brought in reinforcements for developing its cloud business with the appointment of Mathias Reidel. As a new Director of Business Development and a member of the senior management team, he will primarily be responsible for the growth of the company’s software-as-a-service Division on a global basis. From the Baden-Württemberger region of south-west Germany, Mathias Reidel has worked in the IT industry since 1997. In the last 13 years he has played a key leadership role at Microsoft  as part of its sales and organisational development with a focus on areas such as unified communications and cloud computing.

Swyx has been successful in the cloud market for seven years with its own hosted UC solution and Deutsche Telekom has also offered this to its business customers since September 2013 from their data centres.
