Tom Wellige Posted January 8, 2015 #1 Posted January 8, 2015 For "Unified Communications" specialist Swyx, 2014 was ‘the year of growth’: Never before has the Dortmund based company been so successful. The rate of increase in sales amounted to a massive 35 percent over 2013. But growth does not just happen. 2014 was also a year of significant change for Swyx, with many new faces and products. DeutschlandLAN Swyx makes Cloud-based PBX popularA success factor for its record sales has been the distribution of Swyx’s cloud solution delivered via the data centres of Deutsche Telecom: As a partner of Deutsche Telekom, Swyx has made a major contribution towards providing German mid-sized companies with a UC solution in the cloud. Also in terms of product innovation, SwyxWare 2015 that was released in the final quarter of last year provides users with even more flexibility as part of today’s modern and often location-independent working day. Excellent business modelNot only in numbers, was the success of Swyx’s business model borne out. The Dortmund based “unified communications" specialist was also recognized twice with international awards. After winning the Red Herring Top 100 Europe 2014 for its innovative business model and product orientation in the cloud segment in April 2014 Swyx was awarded a further internationally recognized accolade in November 2014 with the Red Herring Top 100 Global, received personally by Swyx CEO Dr. Ralf Ebbinghaus at a ceremony in Los Angeles. Partner Conference and 15 years of SwyxThe traditional Swyx Partner Conference took place not only in an exceptional location, but also under very special conditions in 2014. In mid-October, the event hosted some 100 authorised resellers as well Swyx distributors ADN, KOMSA and the Deutsche Telekom. After a day of professional and informal exchange Swyx then celebrated in the evening its 15th anniversary in style, together with its partners. New facesIn order to plan for future success, Swyx reinforced its management team last year with Dirk Valbert as new CFO and Joao Gonzaga in the position of CTO. Swyx also added many new employees to their respective teams. Change and growth are key goalsSwyx CEO Dr. Ralf Ebbinghaus comments on last year and future outlook: "In 2014, we seem to have done everything right and in 2015 we intend to continue with our current strategy. Our goal is to expand the cloud business both with our great service provider partners as well as with our specialised reseller partners. As a manufacturer, we will help shape more efficient and future-proofed solutions through continuous product innovations aimed at meeting the communication needs of SMEs, because it is here where we see enormous potential. We are definitely on the right course for growth."
