Unified communications specialist Swyx is delighted to announce that its UK partner and cloud service provider, Backbone UK has been shortlisted in the UK Cloud Awards 2015 within the ‘Best Cloud Service Provider’ category.

Alex Hilton, CEO of CIF (Cloud Industry Forum), said the volume and quality of entries this year was a sign of the maturity of the UK cloud sector.
“The calibre and sheer volume of entries that we received for the awards this year demonstrates that the UK cloud industry has come of age," he said.
"These awards were established to highlight innovation and achievement in the British cloud computing sector, benchmarking the amazing cloud leadership in the UK.

Cloud Pro and the Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) revealed the shortlist for the UK Cloud Awards 2015, having narrowed down hundreds of entries to a few dozen contenders.

Swyx Service Provider Partner Backbone was recognised in the top award category of the year, which seeks to recognise the single organisation that stands out in epitomising the qualities of a credible, trusted and respected Cloud Service Provider (CSP). Drawing on the award nominees for across the whole spectrum of this year’s award categories, the CSP of the Year will set a high standard of best practice, operational excellence and commercial success.

In particular Backbone has been praised for its work with Trident Building Consultancy to whom they provide a range of cloud-based services including Swyx.
