19steffen91 Posted September 3, 2020 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2020 Hello, we use the Swyx as a Netphone variant. We currently work with the server version 12.00.14538. Many of our clients get an error message once a day when starting Outlook that a program wants to access the email address information. For some of them it is only enough to select that the access is granted for x (usually 1 minute) minutes. The request will then only come up at the next restart of Outlook. This is not nice but ok. Others get this error message much more often during the day and are therefore prevented from working productively. Does anyone here have experience with this and how do you deal with it? Often there is a delay in working with Outlook for several minutes. Thanks a lot!
Most Valued User Solution SvenS Posted September 3, 2020 Most Valued User Solution #2 Share Posted September 3, 2020 Hello, you'll find the solution in the Release Notes Quote 5.5 SwyxIt! With Outlook • In the context of removing an issue with security warnings that appear when Outlook is used together with SwyxIt! (Swyx bug 185649) a new Windows Registry Key has been introduced that rules if the previous Outlook warning appears. In the registry key path "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\[XXX]\OutlookAddIn\SecurityManager\" (with [XXX] being Swyx or T-Com), the registry value is named "DisableOutlookSecurityWarnings", the type is a DWORD and the values are: ‘0’ to have the security warnings enabled (default behaviour); ‘1’ to have them disabled. Even if the Registry Key was set to ‘1’, the warning messages still appear, though, when creating, editing or deleting an Outlook contact. If the new Registry Key was not already created by SwyxIt!, the user can do so at the aforementioned path with the specified type and desired value.
