zerox22x Posted April 2, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2015 we are getting ready to move our older swyxware 2011 r2 server to new a new machine in Hyper-V.however what would be the most sensible way to do it while retaining all of the settings/skins/etc im currently thinking of 2 ways to do it1 backup the current swyx in its entirety using the backup utility2 install swyx 2011 r2 in trial mode and restore the database 3 upgrade to swyx 2015 r2 and upgrade the database aswell or1 backup the database of the current installation 2 restore it directly in swyx 2015 r2 and allowing it to upgrade the database
Most Valued User srom Posted April 2, 2015 Most Valued User #2 Share Posted April 2, 2015 Yes i think the 2 ways work.Copy the Licence.dat form the ProgramData/Swyx to the new System
Tom Wellige Posted April 2, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2015 By copying the license.dat onto another machine your licences become timely limited to 30 days. Within these time frame you need to make them permanent again with Swyx.
