Eman Yalpsid Posted October 12, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2021 Hi, Is there a way to increase our outgoing volume? Either in the client or server? We use Swyx and a SIP trunk from our phone provider. We have services where we need to take calls from legacy elevator phones. These phones have their calls digitalized to VOIP, but they are made for analog POTS lines. They don't support full duplex and instead switch the call direction back and forth automatically based on who is talking loudest. Our issue is that our volume/signal is too low and the elevator phone switches away erroneously while we are talking. The user on the other end interprets this as a choppy call. If we press the mic to our mouths and talk LOUDER the issue is reduced significantly. But it's not a good solution. Can anyone suggest any way to boost volume on our outgoing voice? Desperate regards,
Ronald Von Brown Posted October 13, 2021 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2021 I've seen this before. You need to delete all logs, reformat the server and reinstall swyx and reconfigure all settings from scratch. That solved it for me. Do it over the weekend. Good luck!
