Switlox Posted January 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2016 Hi All, I was wondering if it were possible to address multiple email addresses to one user? This for the rich presence within Outlook. We have a cliënt were one user has 2 email address options e.g. firstname(at)company.com and f.lastname(at)company.com whereby Outlook only servs the presence of the user email wich is configured in the Swyxware administration to this user. Adding the second email address in Outlook contacts does not solve this problem. Thanks in advance!
Most Valued User Virikas Posted January 5, 2016 Most Valued User #2 Share Posted January 5, 2016 If the user has to exchange mailboxes with one email adress each that problem won't be resolvable because every exchange mailbox (resp. account) can be free/busy independently from each other. If the user has one exchange mailbox with two (or more) email adresses you should configure the users main mailadress (as configured in exchange) within the swyx configuration and everything should work fine. Switlox Posted January 5, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted January 5, 2016 Thanks for your reply! It concerns an Outlook 365 (Online Exchange) environment, configured as above with 2 addresses to one account with the main address configured within the Swyxware. Maybe it is possible to change the configuration of the Office 365....
Most Valued User Virikas Posted January 5, 2016 Most Valued User #4 Share Posted January 5, 2016 If it's one account with two adresses this account should have only one single free/busy state. If the account has different states depending on which mailadress you use as status source that would be a very weird exchange configuration. I'm not sure whether such a scenario is achievable without any "tricks", but may an exchange specialist can be of better help here.
