eduardo Posted August 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2015 Hi All, we have configured a SIP trunk between a Cisco Call Manager and Swyx. If we make a call from Swyx, it goes through to Cisco no problem. But when a call is made from Cisco to Swyx, a status 404 not found is returned from the Swyx server. No SIP Registration is required. We've tried all sorts of number formatting but no joy. Here is the wireshark capture from Swyx to Cisco, with the IPs replaced by the names:Source - Destination Info1. SwyxServer - CiscoServer INVITE: sip:[full international number]@CiscoServer2. CiscoServer - SwyxServer Status: 100 Trying3. CiscoServer - SwyxServer SIP/SDF Status: 200 OK SIP header message in 1. shows- To: <[full international number]@CiscoServer>- From: "User Full Name" <sip:SwyxServer> In the From, no number is mentioned, could this be an issue in the settings and so the reverse as shown below wouldn't work? Here is the wireshark capture from Cisco to Swyx, with the IPs replaced by the names:Source - Destination Info5. CiscoServer - SwyxServer Request: INVITE sip:[full international number]@SwyxServer:650026. SwyxServer - CiscoServer Status: 404 Not Found SIP header message in 5. shows- To: <[full international number]@SwyxServer>- From: <[full international number]@CiscoServer> Thanks for any hints in this matter. Best Regards.
Florian Posted August 14, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2015 Hello Eduardo, I think you have to add an URI to the trunk. First try * @ *, if it works, try more specifyed like [full international number]@SwyxServer Regards,Florian
eduardo Posted August 18, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted August 18, 2015 Thanks Florian for your suggestion. Its something we tried too, but itself didn't bring any results. In the end, it was down to the "default realm for SIP devices settings". We used the hostname rather than the IP address. Once this was changed to IP and the server restarted, we were able to receive calls. Best,Eddie

Most Valued User Virikas Posted November 3, 2015 Most Valued User #5 Share Posted November 3, 2015 When the Callmanagers states an 500 you should check your callmgr configuration first, because the errors occurs on its side
